  In a tight market where bidding wars are common, a letter written from a potential buyer to a seller is a useful tactic to increase a buyers odds of getting an accepted offer. A personalized letter is a viable tool used to increase the seller’s confidence in the potential buyer. Journalist Kamping-Carder wrote, “In addition to flattering a seller’s ego – or assuring him or her the home will be cared for – a letter can also signal that the buyer is serious, which translates into a willingness to follow through even if hurdles come up in the sales process.” The goal of a letter is to convey that their is a person behind the contract.
